The numbers in the title DO actually mean something:

2 by 2: The first 4 goals that the Wings scored last night came 48 and 13 second apart, respectively. Johan Franzen scored the first two, took a break in the second period and let Kris Draper and Niklas Kronwall score just to liven things up a bit, then finished off the game and the Senators with a natural hat trick.

5: Johan Franzen scored 5 goalsHe also became the first Red Wing in 15 years to score 5 in a game. Sergei Fedorov did it in 96 and some guy named Howe did it in 44. That would be Syd Howe, by the way, not Gordie, who, interestingly enough, never had a 5 goal game. Syd, on the other hand, is the only Red Wing to ever score 6 goals in one game, which he managed to pull off in the same game as when he scored 5. So he actually gets credit for a 5 goal game AND a 6 goal game, even though it was the same game where he scored 6, because 5 comes before 6. Got it? Right, good. It should also be noted that while this is Franzen's fourth hat trick, it is his FIRST regular season hat trick.

3: 3 Red Wings have scored 5 goals in a game. Have you not been reading? Why do I have to explain this again?

The 5 goals that the Senators scored sure don't look good on Jimmy Howard's stat sheet, but I am sure he doesn't care as long as he gets the "W", right? I mean, I wouldn't...
